After 3 years of development and testing, Sabre Sails' a new batten especially designed for multihulls are here.

The Hot Rods are round hollow core carbon battens. They are developing 85% less pressure on the luff of the sail while still supporting the roach and camber (draft) in the sail. Another great feature for all you Multihull owners with battens over 90" they are made to be spliced together. That means NO MORE FREIGHT, UPS can handle the Hot Rods at minimal cost to you. You can even match a soft luff end batten or a stiff end to the leech batten. We can supply battens over 240" or 20 feet. The Hot Rods are also lighter than any battens on the market and the wall strength is such that they have passed break test where flat tapered battens split.

Hot Rods are currently on Hobie 14 Giant Slayer, Prindle 19mxs, Prindle 18-2s, Narca 6.0s, Nacra 5.7s,F-31s, ARC 17, ARC 22s, Super Cat 20s, and Super Cat 17s. These sailors report that the performance of the Hot Rod battens has been outstanding and unsurpassed.
